The External Integrated Summative Assessment is the national, QCTO-regulated exit exam for occupational qualifications. It's set and moderated externally to make sure every candidate is measured against the same standard, and it focuses on integrating your knowledge, practical skills, and workplace experience — not just theory.

What is an EISA?

Who is eligible to write an EISA?
You need to have completed the knowledge, practical skills, and workplace experience components of your occupational qualification (or qualified via the Recognition of Prior Learning route), with a Statement of Results confirming this from your training provider.
What must I submit, and by when?
A complete Learner Pack: a certified copy of your ID, a signed declaration to write the EISA, a reflective report, and your Statement of Results. Learner packs should be submitted at least 3 months before your intended EISA date — late submissions risk missing that sitting.
How do I get my Statement of Results?
If you trained with Careers IT, we issue your Statement of Results once you've successfully completed the knowledge, practical skills, and workplace components of your programme -- speak to your programme coordinator once you're nearing the end of your qualification. If you trained with another provider, your Statement of Results is issued by them.
How long do results take?
Scripts are marked within 14 days of your sitting, and a minimum of 25% are independently moderated for quality assurance. Final, certified results are typically confirmed around 3 months after the exam.
What happens if I don't pass?
You can register to rewrite in a future sitting. Talk to us about the re-sit process, timing, and any additional preparation support that would help.

At an accredited assessment centre — Careers IT is one. We confirm your specific venue and date once your Learner Pack has been reviewed and accepted.
Can Careers IT help me prepare?
Yes — ask your programme coordinator about revision support ahead of your EISA. Preparing well is worth it: this is your qualification's external exit exam.
