Networking Devices and Initial Configuration Training
Get hands-on with the devices that run every network. Learn how switches and routers work and how to set up and configure a small network, your stepping stone towards network administration.
Every network, from a small office to a global enterprise, is built on switches and routers. Understanding how these devices work and how to configure them is the foundation of a career in networking. Networking Devices and Initial Configuration gives you that foundation through practical, hands-on learning.
Over twenty-two hours, you will learn about network devices and media and how data moves across a network, and the basics of Ethernet and IP addressing. You will then configure switches and routers yourself, and build and test a small network, putting your new skills into practice straight away.
Basic computer skills and an interest in networking are all you need to begin. Classes are instructor-led by a Careers IT facilitator, on campus or online, with full access to the Cisco Networking Academy content, labs and assessments, a Careers IT certificate of completion and the Cisco certificate of completion. It is your stepping stone towards roles such as Junior Network Technician, Network Support Technician and Junior Network Administrator. Enquire today.
