JavaScript Essentials 1 Training
Learn the language of the web. Build a solid foundation in JavaScript programming, the first step towards front-end, back-end and full-stack software development.
JavaScript is the language of the web. It runs on almost every website and is used to build interactive pages, web applications and even server-side software. Learning JavaScript is the first step towards a career in front-end, back-end or full-stack development, and JavaScript Essentials 1 gives you a solid foundation, even if you have never written code before.
Over forty hours, you will learn how JavaScript runs and how to set up your development environment, and how to work with variables, data types, operators and control flow. You will also learn to write functions and work with data, and to handle errors, test and debug your code.
No programming experience is needed. Classes are instructor-led by a Careers IT facilitator, on campus or online, with full access to the Cisco Networking Academy content, labs and assessments. The course prepares you for the JSE Certified Entry-Level JavaScript Programmer exam from the JS Institute, and is the starting point for roles such as Junior Front-end Web Developer, Junior Full-stack Developer, Web Developer and Junior Software Tester.
