IT Support Essentials Training
Build the practical skills for a first job in IT support and help desk: computer hardware, operating systems, networking and security basics, troubleshooting and customer service.
IT support is the most common entry point into a technology career, and every organisation needs people who can keep computers, networks and users working. IT Support Essentials builds the practical skills you need to land your first job in IT support or on a help desk.
Over fifty-six hours, you will learn about computer hardware and components, and how to install and support operating systems. You will also learn networking and security fundamentals, systematic troubleshooting, and the professional customer support skills that separate good technicians from great ones.
Basic computer skills are all you need to begin. Classes are instructor-led by a Careers IT facilitator, on campus or online, with full access to the Cisco Networking Academy content, labs and assessments, a Careers IT certificate of completion and the Cisco certificate of completion. On completion, you will be ready to pursue roles such as IT Support Technician, Help Desk or Service Desk Analyst, Desktop Support Technician and Field Service Technician.
